Short Description:

Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin possessing a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. It acts bactericidal against a number of Gram positive and negative microorganism, particularly against E. coli, Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp. salmonella spp.Bordetella bronchiceptica, Staphylococcus and others.

    indication

    1. Treatment of the disease caused by the following micro-organism susceptible to amoxicillin; Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli, Hemophilus spp.

    2. Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.

       ①Calf (less than 5 months old): pneumonia, diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli

       ②Swine: pneumonia, diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli

    dosage

    The following dosage is mixed with feed or drinking water and orally administer once or twice a day. (However, do not take more than 5 days)

    Calves Pneumonia 30-100 mg 3-10 mg
     Diarrhea caused by 50-100 mg 5-10 mg
      Escherichia coli  
         
    Swine Pneumonia 30-100 mg 3-10 mg

    Poultry: general dosage is 10mg amoxicillin per kg b.w per day. 

    Prevetion: 1g per 2 liter of drinking water, continue for 3 to 5 days.

    Treatment: 1g per 1 liter of drinking water, continue for 3 to 5 days。

    spec

    1. Do not use for animals with shock and hypersensitive response to this drug.

    2. Side effect

    ①Penicillin anbiotics may cause diarrhea by inhibiting the intestinal normal bacterial flora and bring about abdominal pain by gastroenteritis or colitis, digestive system abnormalities such as anorexia, watery diarrhea or hemafecia, nausea and vomiting and etc.

    ②Penicillin antibiotics may induce nervous system abnormalities such as convulsions and seizures and hepatotoxicity when overdosing.

    3. Interaction

    ①Do not administer with macrolide (erythromycin), aminoglycoside, chloramphenicol, and tetracycline antibiotics.

    ②Gentamicin, bromelain and probenecid may increase the efficacy of this drug.

    ③Administration for pregnant, lactating, newborn, weanling and debilitating animals : Do not administer to laying chickens

    4. Usage note

        When administering by mixing with feed or drinking water, mix homogeneously to prevent from drug accident and to achieve its efficacy.
