Dog pancreatitis occurs when feeding too much pork

Many pet owners, out of their doting on dogs, think that meat is a better food than dog food, so they will add extra meat to the dogs to supplement them. However, we need to make it clear that pork is the most unhealthy meat among all common meats. Eating too much pork is bad for dogs.

Every autumn and winter is the high incidence period of acute pancreatitis in dogs, 80% of which is because pet owners eat a lot of pork for dogs. The fat content of pork is very high, especially in some fatty meat, the fat content is even as high as 90%. Dogs who eat a lot of fat food can produce obvious feeding lipoidemia, change the content of enzymes in pancreatic cells, and easily induce acute pancreatitis; In addition, sudden and large consumption of meat may lead to duodenal inflammation and pancreatic duct spasm, which may lead to pancreatic duct blockage. With the increase of pressure, pancreatic acini rupture and pancreatic enzymes escape, leading to pancreatitis.

To put it simply, in order to gain meat quickly, eating too much fatty food will lead to very serious diseases. If the treatment of acute pancreatitis is not timely, it may lead to death, and some may turn into chronic pancreatitis, which cannot be fully recovered for life. Even if there is no pancreatitis, the fat produced by eating pork can only make dogs fat rather than healthy. For dogs, the best supplementary food is beef and chicken breast, followed by venison, rabbit and duck. It is not recommended to choose mutton and fish. You need to keep in mind that supplements are only added on the basis of the original dog food with the same amount of food. If you reduce the dog food, the meat eating effect will be poor.
