This product is a light yellow tablet.
Pharmacological Action
Terbinafine hydrochloride is an allylamine-class drug with broad-spectrum antifungal activity. It specifically interferes with the early biosynthesis of fungal sterols, highly selectively inhibits fungal squalene epoxidase, blocks the squalene epoxidation reaction during the formation of the fungal cell membrane, and thus achieves the effect of killing or inhibiting fungi.
Actions and Uses
Used for the treatment of canine skin infections caused by Microsporum canis.
Dosage and Administration
Calculated based on terbinafine hydrochloride. Oral administration: 10 mg per 1 kg body weight of dogs, once daily, for 14 to 28 consecutive days.
Adverse Reactions
Common mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite.
Precautions
1. Since safety studies have not been conducted on breeding dogs, pregnant dogs, lactating bitches, and puppies under 6 months old, it is recommended that the product not be used in the above cases.
2. Sick animals with obvious hepatic or renal insufficiency should not use this product.
3. For dogs weighing less than 2.5 kg, use under veterinary advice.
4. Two weeks after medication, it is recommended to detect the liver function of dogs.
5. Keep out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
No withdrawal period is required.
